Last Legend of Zelda
Chapter 1
Victory and Freedom

Links blade clashed with another and both warriors fell to the ground.
The legendary hero of Hyrule was fighting in a great battle against the last
army of trolls and ogres that threatened not only the safety but the freedom
of the great land of Hyrule. Quickly standing to his feet, Link spun around
holding his sword out. A large red force of energy had seemed to those
unfortunate enough to be within the range of it, to hurl out of the great
master sword. At least ten men fell before link and his sword in that one
swift move. The battle seemed to have been going on for about on hour, and
the once beautiful Hyrule Field was painted red, Red with the blood of
Trolls, Hylian soldiers and ogres. The stench was almost as bad as the pain
of losing dear friends. Links army was small yet so powerful it had withheld
all attacks ever trying to destroy it. The frontlines consisted of at least
1,000 Goron warriors led by the great Darunia. Alongside Darunia’s warriors
were those soldiers from the castle, and the town of kakariko. Link had led
the whole army but still stayed in the middle of all the action. “If I truely
care for the safety of this land I must then fight in any and all battles and
conflicts to make it stay that way.” For long range attacks this army had
spearmen from the desert known as the gerudos. However, This great battle had lost many of these warriors. Ones whos home was all over the land. All
different races binded together as one. The race of the zora’s so rare these
days that none ever fought.

Here and now the great army had shrunk and though victory was near, half of our men had been lost. Minutes past as the Hylian army gained ground against the last company of beast-like soldiers. A large white flag waved in the air to signal surrender Link waved his hand to order the attacking to cease. The men from both sides ceased their attacks and let down their guards. The general of the army known as Gun’tak came forward to ask for mercy. Link stood his ground, He knew every man in this enemy army was a cheap and ruthless fighter. As the general and the rest of his guards approached Link he clinched his shield and sword, waiting for any weapon shot or thrown at him.

“Fire” was the last word ever uttered out of Gun’tak lips. As soon as
his mouth moved link was in the air spinning right toward him. One direct
chop to the head took down the intellegence of their army. Five different
beasts seeing their master dead attacked Link. The hero heard his men already attacking and knew he would be alone for only a few seconds. A single swing was all that it took to take 3 men down due to massive gashes in the chest by links sword. The rest of the kills belonged to the army. Link had won a war that had lasted over 5 years.

Darunia stood amongst his warriors picking up his wounded and dead people.

“As always, your men are a neccesity to the success of this army.” Link said.

“Thank you general”, said Darunia with tears running down his face. It’s
finally over. My people will no longer fall to the sword of Gun’thars army.

Link felt a sharp pain in his right arm. As he looked at it he saw a gash
about and inch deep and blood flowed like a river. “Better get that cleaned
up” Darunia said.

“Yes, perhaps I should. Well old friend, I must report the news to the
people” Link walked on to greet and thank the other brave men who risked
their lives for the sake of their home. As he entered the castle gate he had
a great sense of happiness in his heart. All those unable to fight shouted
for joy when their General had walked in. He made his way up to the castle
and told one of the guards by the gate to call all the people of the land to
the castle courtyard for the celebration of freedom.

While continuing on, he was becoming rather weak and remembered the
injury he had recieved. He walked straight to the hospital inside the castle
and got a bandage for the wound, he would heal. When nightfall came the whole land of Hyrule would be in the castle to join in the festivities of a new
found freedom. The people had waited for this celebration. The war had made everyone pay dearly for lost loved ones, and the money in taxes that they had to pay. Tonight would make all that pain and strife somehow seem worthwhile. Though clean-up of the land would take weeks the air smelled already sweeter. Links wife Zelda was the grand Queen of this land. Link had the chance to rule as the king over the land but knew that his lifes training was built into battle not into negotiating political matters. So he stayed a general. The preparations had taken days. The food, the music and the magic would bring any heart into joy.

Link ventured on to find his wife and tell her the great news. He darted
all around the castle and finally found here looking out in the direction of
the temple of time.
Honey? Link said Haven’t you heard, the whole country is free again. Our
times of pain is over we will live prosperously for the rest of our lives.
Why do you show now sign of happiness, we are free!!

“I............I’ve had visions.” She whispered.
“Of what my Love?”
Ganon........ will return
Perhaps you haven’t had enough sleep lately why don’t you go to bed. I’m as focused as ever......he spoke to me in a vision. He said at the highest
point of your lands happiness is when I will come back to destroy your
precious hero. For he knows not the power that I have obtained.

Ganondorf is only angry at his own defeat. Link said. Don’t worry he
will never come back. Now come on lets go get ready for the party.
“Link? zelda interrupted, If his prophecy is true he will return tonight.”
If he does, he will die Link said with a smile.

Chapter 2
The Celebration

Fireworks exploded in the air and the food had been served. Millions
gathered around the symbol of their freedom, the castle. Some were filled
with the joy of the moment while other dwelled on the pain of the deaths but
in everyones heart was shared the same feeling, the feeling of freedom.

Playing his Ocarina in his chambers Link played Saria’s Song so that he
could talk to his dearest friend. Saria didn’t answer. With a look of
confusion Link played the song again, louder, No sound came again. Fear
started to show in Links eyes. Again and again he played with fury coming up inside him each time his friend didn’t answer. Link ran as fast as he could to the stable in the castle to find his faithful steed Epona. Well old friend its time to start on another adventure. It had been years since Link had mounted his aging horse but when he did he felt like he did when he was fighting almost ten years ago. Ten years ago he thrusted his sword into
ganons mouth and sent him into imprisonment. The news Zelda had brought him did make him think of the words ganon had spoke to him when he was thrust in his sacred cell, “When I break this seal I will kill your descendance.” Zelda was pregnent.... and it had haunted Link for quite some time but his problem was here and now with his friend saria. All of the sages had been relieved of their duties because Ganon was gone for now. He slapped Epona’s hide and she ran as fast as she could to the woods. Links Ocarina no longer had the power of warping to destinations because it was no longer needed. Dispite her age Epona was still the fastest horse in the whole land. Within two minutes Link was already in the Forest and he didn’t waist time. He climbed quickly up the wall and ran into the Lost Woods. It had been years since he entered this place. It was beautiful. He knew where to find her if she was still alive. The Sacred forest Meadow was very close. Sprinting the whole rest of the way Link entered. The moblins who had once been there were gone because Ganon also was. A short while later he was walking up the stairs and saw the stump that Saria sat on long ago. when he showed up she was laying in the middle of the area. He foolishly ran right to her but quickly saw three of those dangerous skeletons, stalfos. He managed to do a backflip in time before one of them slashed at him. A quickly shot arrow caught one of them right in the neck hurling it to the ground. While his shield deflected an attack Link stabbed the second one right in the chest. Now it was one on one. Link faked a stab and caused the stalfos to jump back. Before the stalfos could finish his leap back Link had already completed his deadly spin attack.

Saria? Link muttered. She was laying on her stomach so he couldn’t see
her face. Turing her over Link could barely hear her talk.
Ganon.........has retur..ned Link.... Ganon has returned. A cold feeling
came to her and her eyes closed. Link yelled in anger, “I will have my
revenge Ganon this is not the end for my journey but the end of your life” As
those words left Links mouth a roar erupted from the ground standing before
link was Ganondorf. Link was suprised but was in no condition do let his
guard down. With all the fury he could muster up from his friends death he
charged what he thought was Ganondorf and charged right through him.
hehehehehe Ganondorf chuckled. You will regret those words you spoke of. Once I take my physical form I will kill the rest of you pathetic friends and then when you are all alone in the darkness I will strike you down. With a quick spin of his cape Ganondorf vanished. Link mounted his horse and darted back as fast as he could to the castle. His sharp eyes picked up zelda in but a few seconds and darted toward her. She was talking with Darunia when she saw Link approaching.
Zelda can I talk to you? Link said nervously.
Of... course, excuse me Darunia.

You were right Ganondorf has returned. I saw him. Not in form but he will
return and soon we need to get you out of here. Link grabbed Zelda’s arm
knowing he must rush to the temple of time to ask the rest of the sages where they could hide zelda. Give me the Ocarina. Link said. With an extent of her hand Zelda quickly obeyed her husband. Link still clinching her hand played the Prelude of Light warping them to the temple. Upon their arrival Link came to the pedastal which was no longer blocked by the great door of time. This was now his portal to the sacred chamber of sages.
Link found himself in the middle of the circle, staring at rauru, the
sage of light. Master, I’m afraid the sages power is weakening Ganon is
returning to this land. Is this true?
An evil chuckle errupted out of the sages’ mouth. I’m returning faster than
you think.” There was no mistaking this was Ganondorf. A wave of dark power bolted toward Link before he could even grasp his sword, one hit sent him flying upwards back to Hyrule. As Link landed on the stones of the Temple his pain meant nothing.... he jumped up grabbing his sword knowing that Ganondorf was sure to follow. Within seconds the pedestal began to shake and a purple colored light began to grow. Growing with such might that it could no longer be held back. After a large explosion Link was yet again on his back, and when he got to his feet this time, he saw the portalto the sacred chamber had been destroyed. More frightening was the form that floated five feet above the ground, above the ruined portal. His sword still in hand Link showed no fear on his face.
“Did you come back all this way only to be beaten back again? Link
sarcastically said.”
“Your last smart remark at my expense, boy. Wielding a massive sword
Ganondorf darted toward Link as fast as he could. The first swing of Ga
nondorf’s sword had no effect, it merely bounced off Links shield. A
quick reaction by Link slashed ganondorf in the leg with his master sword.
Ganondorf swung his sword as hard as he could, while Link tried to react He found his shield and sword laying far out of his reach. Knowing he couldn’t reach his weapons link played the Ocarina of Time warping him to the desert. At his arrival, he had forgotten that zelda was with him in the temple. Playing his magical instrument, he was back in the temple, and fear showed in his eyes. He saw no one.....not zelda, not ganondorf, the temple was empty. Link saw no bodies but he heard screams, screams of Zelda begging for mercy. Link couldn’t reach her so he just ran he ran out of the temple and out of the town, into the field of Hyrule and nightime had arose. Skeletons as always came up out of the ground, and Link’s fury took over him. All night link slaughtered countless skeletons, and he gained nothing, nothing besides the pleasure of killing evil. However, this evil meant nothing to him, it was ganondorf, who had zelda. Link needed help but he knew all the sages were gone, but wait....darunia was a sage....he went back to his people maybe he wasn’t effected. Link had his ocarina still, but not his weapons so he warped to the temple. It was like the first time almost, when Link grasped his sword and shield, because a new quest had begun. The Beralo of Fire smoothly came out of the ocarina and in no time at all Link was in the crater of death mountain. Running quickly, within a minute Link was in the great Goron City.
He jumped off the ledge landing on the lowest platfor, Links ignored the
pain. Darunia’s door was open, he darted in. Darunia Lie there, breathless
collapsed on the floor. Link didn’t even bother to see if he was alive he
knew he was gone or would be in an hour or so. Ganondorf has power enough to kill people even when he isn’t there.....could he kill Link? Could his power kill the only hope that Hyrule had for ganon’s extermination?

Chapter 3
Useful Advice

Link left the Goron city in a fit of rage, knowing he had no help, no
friend to lean on, no wife to comfort him. He made his way down to kokariko
to go stock up on weapons. When reaching the town store he found the large, heavy set man that ran the place. “Master Link, how may I serve you?” Ganon is back, I need my weapons , I need all of them. Very Well, mi lord. The large man strenuously brought the barrel over to Link. Link grabbed
everything his tunics, bottles, longshot, his huge hammer, bow and
arrows(with the magic ones), mirror shield, bombs, eye of truth, all his
magic, and finally he clinched his biggoron blade. It had been a long time
since he had seen his blade or held it. Link dropped his Hylian shield and
walked out of the store with everything he had used when his life was filled
with adventures all those years ago. After leaving the kakiriko village he
called for Epona on his Ocarina. Epona was already quite close and in about a minute he was on his horse, again. He thought while he was on his horse how he would defeat Ganon, while the sages were dead they were of no use even if they were revived, their power was too small to fight ganondorf.

He rode on aimlessly getting closer to the Lake Hylia. When he reached
the gate the owl was there, and he knew he had to have some advice....he
always did.
“Hello, friend.....I’ve heard that Ganondorf has returned, it seems that you
have a new quest now. I have something that might interest you, I saw in the desert collosus a pyramid that was shining with a bright golden light. I’m
sure that could help you.”

Still mounted on his horse, Link left without even the time to say “thank
you.” A few slaps of Epona’s hide and he was in the gerurados fortress.
“Open the gate” Link exclaimed to the guard by the gate, at the request of
the King the guard did. He left Epona right by the gate and entered into the
stormy desert.

His eyes tried to make out the figure of the pyramid, but even the fact
it was supposed to be a bright cold the sand blowing in his face made it so
he couldn’t see even five feet in front of him. He heard laughter coming
from the left of him and he pulled out his eye of truth. He picked up the
form of a ghost, the one who guided him to the Spirit Temple before.

“Can you help, me find the great pyramid of gold?” The ghosts face went
blank. “Are you Link, the hero of time that made the desert clean
again?”Yes I know the way to the pyramid, follow me.”

With the eye of truth still fixed on the ghost Link followed him to the
Pyramid. It seemed to be miles that he followed the ghost and he longed for
Epona to be there, he was tired, dizzy and nauseous. But when he saw the
bright gold in front of him he knew that his luck was about to change.

Thank you very much Link said tiredly. Putting his eye of truth away Link
fell to the ground to rest for a few minutes, he was ready to see what the
Pyramid held, but not quite yet.

Link arose from his rest and found that the great storm that had been
there before, was gone. He was but a few feet from the entrance and did not
know how to get in. He looked for a keyhole.... no luck. He searched for a
switch to stand on and saw nothing at all. And so he decided to look at the
stones themselves. Trying to find the well hide entrance, Link brushed the
sand off every part he could reach. He came to a part of the great stone
figure, that had been clumped with dirt for years by the looks of it.
Slashing it with his sword, he was steadily ripping off the crusted sand that
was once standing out many feet. He hit something that sounded like metal, or a hole of some kind. As he brushed away the final grains of sand he saw a message, one that said in the words of Hylian, “ Only the one whos blade always proves true may enter, for only he will save the land forever.” Without hesitation Link decided to thrust his sword into the hole, and it fit! A door standing fifty feet above the flew open and the hero entered the great pyramid. As he charged through he noticed there were no enemies, no skeletons, not an evil or good person was among him. Unfortunately he also saw no doors. He looked for a place to use his hookshot and found a small log on a ledge far above him. His long shot ranged farther than that, so he hit the trigger with his finger and soon enough he was already up there. He saw an almost blinding light as he entered the door in front of him. But through the light he saw a sword, one that the shining light emmited from. He quickly ran toward it, knowing, hopin, and praying that this sword would help. Its pedestal read, “ The Bearer of this sword will never be free of this sword, he will always kill for the justice of Hyrule” Link took the sword, not thinking of the consequences for one second. He heard a rumble as he grasped the sword, one that came from outside the pyramid. He ran outside the door of the pyramid only to find what appeared to be hundreds of Stalfos and reptiles, but he need not worry, he knew the power of the gods was in his hands, in his golden sword.

Chapter 4
Amry of one

Link only stood as he saw what seemed to be around three hundred men, everyone of them ready to carry out ganondorfs wishes, to kill the only hope Hyrule had. Links first spin attack decapitated five of the monsters. Even though his attack wounded about 7 others the army was closing in around him giving him no escape. Reacting quickly Link motioned din’s fire and it came sending many of the enemy in mindless flames. Everyone there charged Link now, he had no more time to use magic and began to see the army was bigger than it was at first. He hadn’t practiced with his sword he knew no magic that came from it, but hoped that he had time to do something with the sword, it was his only help. Holding it high up in the air, he asked a prayer, “O gods that made this world I plead that you help me carry out this task I must do, I need your help” Link motioned his sword towards the ground and with all the strength he had hit it, and saw gold light, a gold being, Nayru. She turned to link speaking words he knew nothing of, and Link found himslef to be surrounded in this golden light, knowing he was safe from any mortal harm.
Link darted toward the enemy, slashing his sword at anything that moved,
anything that breathed, or lived.

With one final cross-slash Link stood alone from anyone who tried to harm him. As he turned to thank Nayru, she was gone, but he saw these words on the pyramid, words he could understand.

“ O hero of courage, your blood-line has saved your race many times, we come to you now, knowing the power of the sages is gone, to guide you. Find my sisters, Farore and Din who surely will help you.”

This new advice made Link stand to his feet, and he knew where he must
go. The power Nauru had given him gave him a long lasting shield which
allowed him immortality for about a minute. However, he knew that he needed to practice with this sword again...to become the refined warrior he was going to have to become.
