The Legend of Zelda: The Three Golden Godesses

written by Chandra

Chapter 1

In the wind, there echoes a legend that tells of a young boy named Link… his destiny was to save the land of Hyrule and the Princess Zelda…he was supposed to fall in love with her…but he never did…that’s because in his childhood he found someone else…

“….Navi…. come here to me…go and fetch me young Link…the time has come for him to achieve his destiny…” “…Shall I? ....Yes, Great Deku Tree…..” As Navi flies in search of the young hero, she finds Farore and her sisters, Din and Nayru, walking twards a house. “I wonder what makes him so tired in the mornings.” Din asked her sisters.” He’s a heavy sleeper, you know. Say, Farore, did you tell him that we were…you know…” Nayru looked around to see if anyone was listening. They weren’t, so she continued,”…goddesses, did you?...” Farore was silent. “You did, didn’t you?! You weren’t supposed to tell!” Din yelled. “Link has a right to know! He’s my friend! Why shouldn’t he know?!” Farore yelled. She had a louder yell than Din. Din replied,”…ummm…good point.  Never mind, then!”

“So this is where Link lives….Hey! Psst! Link, Hero of Time, wake up! The Great Deku Tree wants to see you!” Navi said. Link groaned. He didn’t hear her words, for he was stuck in a terrible nightmare… he was at a strange place…Hyrule Castle in fact…

The drawbridge came down and a galloping horse could be heared… Link wasn’t the only one there, however…Farore was there, too. She was looking straight ahead at the horse. A white horse emerged with Princess Zelda and Impa, her nurse, riding out town. Princess Zelda said,” Link, hurry! Go to the Temple of Time!”… both Farore and Link turned to watch her go. ‘Who is she? Why is she running from the town on a horse? What is the Temple of Time?’ Link thought. Suddenly the cry of a horse from behind made him turn around. He was a tall, dark, red-haired man in black armor on a black horse (guess who, everyone!). “Damn! She got away!” the strange man said. Then without warning, he shot a ki blast (I know, I know. I used the “ki blast” from Dragonball Z!) right at Farore. “Farore!” Link cried. Then just as Ganondorf was about to blast link with a really bright ki attack, Link awoke…

“LINK! GET UP!” Navi shouted. “Well you don’t have to yell so LOUD!” Link shouted back as he finally got up. “Anyway, the Great Deku Tree has asked for me to partners with you from now on! He as also asked for you to follow me!” Navi said. Then, Farore shouted at Link, “YO! Link! Get down here! And why do I hear someone else up there with you?!” she shouted.” Man, she sounds pissed off…” Link whispered. “ Hey! What’s your name? I’m Navi, the fairy. It’s pleased to meet you, but Link has to go see the Great Deku Tree, so unless you the three oracles, go-“Navi was cut off because the three sisters interrupted. “WE ARE THE THREE ORACLES!” the girls all said at the same time. It was so loud Link had to cover his ears when he was at the bottom of his house in The Kokiri Forest (he-he, forgot to mention that in the beginning, sorry!).

“Uh, oh….don't tell me that we just said that out loud,” Din gasped. “You mean yelled it out, not say. We yelled,” Farore said with a smirk, looking at a shocked Din.” Yell, say, who cares? Lets just explain to Link what’s happening,” Nayru said. “Too late…Farore told me about it already. You don’t have to explain it to me,” Link said. “Well then, I guess we should go see the Great Deku Tree, now?” Navi said in an impatience tone. “Yeah, sure, let’s get going,” Link said. As they were walking to the Great Deku Tree, he had second thoughts about his dream…

Chandra: This is not the end! It’s a long story, so there will be more chapters, but my hand’s aching right now, so I’ll stop for today. Read and Review at my e-mail address please! Here it is: chandrap@Bellsoth.com!
