Chapter 2 - The Great Deku Tree

    Link walked alongside Farore and kept thinking…who was that girl in his dream? “Hey, Farore…”Link wanted to tell her about his dream, but didn’t know how to explain it.” Yeah Link?” Farore asked. ’How can I tell him that Mido’s guarding the entrance? I know he hates Mido. Not that I don’t, but …he probably won’t be let in Mido decides not to.’ “Farore, I had a strange dream last night. I dreamt that a young blond girl was on a horse. You and your sisters were there, and all of you got knocked down by someone…and he asked me if he saw a white horse go by. Do you know who he was or the young girl?” He was staring at her the entire time.” Link, did you just say you saw a young blond girl in your dreams? That must have been Princess Zelda. The other guy, I have no idea…” she looked at him. ”There’s something I wanted to tell you Link. You see…Mido’s guarding the entrance to where the Deku tree lives.” Link suddenly looked ahead.” No need to tell me that, because there he is.” Sure enough, Mido was standing grumbling to himself. ”WHAT?! Why is Mido over there? I hate going even near him!” Din groaned, looking very angry.” You’re not the only one!” Said Link, Nayru, and Farore at the same time. Mido spotted them and looked at the girls. Not one boy could look at them and not be dazzled by their beauty.” Ok, why is Link here? He has no business with the Great Deku Tree, so have him removed from my site!” he said, still looking at the girls, especially Din.” Oh, why Mido, we thought you knew! Link has been summoned by the Great Deku Tree!” Navi said, puzzled. “Oh, well whoopdie do for you Link! Why did he summon you and not the great Mido?! Besides, you can’t enter without a sword or shield! So-“ “ SHUTUP MIDO!!!” all the girls said Mido looked at them with astonishment. “Link’s already got a sword and shield see?!” Farore said pointing at his back.” Yeah, and if your so great, what did you do to make Kokiri Forest a better place?” Nayru smirked.” Well, I uh…” “ “HA HA! Your stuck for an answer! I don’t see why they didn’t kick you out of town Mido. Why did they keep you here?” Link asked. Apparently, Mido did not look at the other girls, but down at the ground. “I have no idea why they even let you guard this place! All you do is-“Din was beginning to speak, but she realized Mido had been looking her up and down, as well as the others. “You bleeding pervert! “ Din shouted and smacked him really hard. Link had noticed Mido still looking at Farore, which made him angry. “YOU LITTLE WEASEL!!!” he said and kicked him HARD. “That was a nice hit, but here, let me handle this…” Farore said, taking out her fan.

    Her fan had incredible powers. It was natural; seeing how she made it and that she was the Oracle of Secrets. As she whipped out her fan, she said, ”I’m going to have a lot of fun hurting you, Mido…” Mido didn’t know that she was the Oracle of Secrets, so he blinked. “Hey, can we join you, dear sister?” Nayru was smirking, and Din looked at Mido with disgust. “Oh, dear! Three girls are going to hurt me! Whatever shall I do?” Mido laughed. “Oh, can I join you too, Farore? I have real fun hurting him!” “Of course, you may! This will be fun!” Farore said smirking also. “Mido did not want to get hurt by Link’s sword, so he gave up. “Okay, you can pass, just don’t hurt me!” He whimpered with fright.

    “Deku Tree, I’m back!” Navi said. “Ah. Link, I have been cursed….a wicked man of the desert placed a curse on me… The monster is inside. As soon as you enter, it will attack. If you complete the task of destroying the monster, then I will give you something…” As everyone entered, the monster, Queen Gohma came down from the ceiling.” Well, well, well. I see you’ve been hiding from me again, haven’t you? “Farore said, laughing. She brought out her fan; Nayru brought out her bow and arrows, and so did Din. Farore’s fan was a weapon, and an insterment like Nayru’s harp and Din’s Rod. But the other two had to use bows and arrows for weapons. Farore used a bow and arrows too, but her main weapon was her Fan of Secrets. Link looked at the creature. It was like a one eyed spider. He took out his sword. ”At the count of three, we hit it at the same time, you guys. Ready?” Farore saw everyone nod. “One, two, THREE!” As the monster screamed in pain and burst in to flames, Link smirked at Farore. ’She really comes in handy, and she’s always so great. How does she do it? How can she have complete confidence and be able to weld a powerful fan like that? I know it takes up a lot of her energy…I can feel it. And she’s always so beautiful…wait, why did I…? Is it because I have feelings for her?! Yes, that must be it…but I wonder if she does for me…’

    As they walked out, the Great Deku Tree told them why had been put under a curse. “A wicked man of the desert cursed me because I have the sacred Kokiri Emerald. He wants it to help him enter the Sacred Realm. He is required to have two more stones, but he came after mine first, for I am the weakest of the 3 who hold the stones…The stones are also called the ‘Sacred Goddess Stones’ because the three goddesses who made the earth itself also made the stones and the Sacred Triforce, found in the Sacred Realm…

    “When the three goddesses made the earth, they also made the Triforce by combining their powers into one…if the Triforce is in possession of someone with a evil heart, then the land of Hyrule with fall into the hands of evil…but if someone with a rich soul holds the Triforce, then the land of Hyrule will be filled with peace and prosperity…but alas, the wicked man of the desert, called Ganondorf,  wants to ruin and rule the world as we know it…that’s precisely why I sent for you, young Link…You must destroy Ganondorf…but I…will soon die…good-…bye… Navi…” The Deku Tree then remained motionless, and turned a dark green, meaning he had died. “Link…we are the three goddesses the Great Deku Tree mentioned…but I don’t know why he didn’t say we should go with you…” Nayru said sadly.” Link, I’m coming with you! I just can’t sit around on my ass all day waiting for you…so I’m coming! I don’t want you to die out there…” Farore told him, looking at him with sadness in her eyes…he could tell she didn’t want him to go alone…”Wait, I’m coming too! I’m not going to wait for my own sister and her best friend to come back! Besides, I can’t abandon my own sister like that…” Din cried (she didn’t really cry though…). “Thanks, Din…what about you, Nayru? Are you coming? We don’t want you worrying about us!” Farore asked. Nayru looked extremely sad, but Link thought for a second that she was making up her mind. ”Of course I’ll come! What do you think I’d say, ‘No, I don’t care, go on without me’? I couldn’t live knowing you and one of my sisters best friends were killed, now could I?!” Nayru shouted at them. “We should go see Princess Zelda; she’ll tell us where this Ganondorf is hiding!” Din spoke starting to walk ahead. ”Well? Do you guys want to come or not?!”

Before they could get off the bridge out of the forest, a girl said,” Oh, you’re leaving…”

Next Chapter- The Grand Princess Zelda- Link meets Princess Zelda, but why is she acting so weird?! And what’s up with Farore? Anyway, Princess Zelda tells Link about the Temple of Time, and Din tells Link something shocking, and why Farore is acting so strange…^-^ Catch ya later!
