A Link to the Future

One night, 3 years after Majora’s Mask, Link awoke with a jolt of pain in his chest. After it faded away, Link wondered what had happened. He thought back to his dream…the same nightmare had been occurring since about a month after Zelda and Doku’s deaths. All he could ever remember was seeing his wife and young son hit by the flurry of arrows. And the one, hitting him as he hurried them to the medics cabin. But it only went in a little way, and the medic said he would be fine. How could it have hurt him now, 2 years after the event? After thinking on this for a while, he drifted back to sleep.

Morning came, and Link gave up on finding out what had happened. As he stepped out into the sun of Kokiri Forest, the pain came back. This time, it was so bad, Link’s knees buckled and he blacked out.

“LINK!” “LINK!” “WAKE UP!” Saria was at the medic cabin with Link, trying to get him to wake up. ”What?” Says Link in a pained whisper. “And WHY are you in my house?” “I’m not. We’re at the medic’s cabin. You blacked out.”

Link looked around, and remembered what had happened. The medic, a Zora named Solora stepped in. “Sir Link, someone is here to see you.” A figure stepped in. Link stared in amazement- it was Zelda.
