Hyrule Castle

     After leaving The Great Deku Tree, you are stopped by Mido, who wants to know what happened to the Great Deku Tree. Continue walking now to the other side of the forest. You should come to a circular opening that will lead you across a bridge where Saria is. Saria will say that she knew that you had to leave some day. Saria then gives you the Fairy Ocarina, which should always remember Link of her. Link now slowly walks away from her and enters Hyrule Field.

Hyrule Field

    Continue walking along the path and you will be stopped by Kaepora Gaebora the owl. The owl will guide you during the game. Once you've listened to him, continue along the path and you should see Hyrule Castle. You can only enter the castle when it is day, so you might have to wait if you didn't make it. Once you can enter the gate you will proceed into Hyrule Castle Town. Walk forward towards the castle in the distance and you should see a small orange haired girl named Malon. Talk to her and then walk to the castle behind Malon. If you continue walking you will find the owl there again. Talk to the owl and then walk back. When you're back in the Market, you will notice that Malon is gone. Now walk back to the castle area one more time and you should find Malon standing next to some vines before the gate. Talk to her and she will give you an egg. Now climb the vines that are behind Malon. The vines will lead up a cliff above the gate. Go across the gate halfway avoiding the guard and jump off to the right. Once your back on the ground, walk carefully to the left across the hill, avoiding the guards ahead in the road. Walk across the grass on the small path till you reach the side of the hill with rocks on it. Climb the rocks and then jump off the hill and into the castles moat. Swim through the water collecting rupees and get out of the water. Now you will have to wait until the morning when your egg hatches. Once your egg has hatched into a chicken, stand next to the man sleeping next to the crates and use the chicken to wake him up. He will tell you that he is Talon, Malons dad. He will then move and you will be able to push the blocks. Push the blocks over the edge to make them stack up on eachother. Once you've done this, you should be able to cross the moat and jump into a small opening with a triforce above it.

Hyrule Castle Courtyard    

     Once inside, walk ahead, watching for guards. If you get caught by a guard, they will throw you outside. Walk ahead slowly, and avoid the guards by hiding behind statues and bushes. When you come to a place with rupees on the ground and a guard, avoid the rupees and walk over the small bridge above it. If you get past all of the guards, you will make it to the garden where Princess Zelda is. Walk up to Princess Zelda next to the window straight ahead and talk to her. She will tell you about Ganondorf and she will tell you about her dreams about Hyrule. Tell her that you will help her recover the 3 spiritual stones and protect Hyrule. When you're done talking, Zelda will give you Zelda's Letter. Now start to walk back the way you came in, and you will meet Impa, Zeldas protector. Impa will teach you Zeldas Lullaby. She will then take you back outside Hyrule Castle into Hyrule Field. She will tell you about your next stop, Death Mountain and Kakariko Village. Impa will then disappear. Forward to Dodongo's Cavern
