The Beginning

"Accept our quest hero"

The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons starts with Link in a field. You then gain control of Link. Walk to the right and you will find some people there. Talk to all of the people around the fire. Then talk to the person dancing on the tree stump. She will tell you that her name is Din. She asks you to join in with dancing with her.

You will start dancing with her, and then you will be confronted by General Onox. Onox will take Din and all of the others. You will then see Din, imprisoned by Onox. Onox will then take the Temple of Seasons down and transport it.

"The seasons of Holodrum will be cast into chaos"

You will now awaken and be met by Impa, Princess Zeldas nurse. She will tell you that Din is really the Oracle of Seasons. She then tells you to meat the Maku Tree in Horon Village. So now the first thing you must do is get a sword. To get a sword, you need to go to the Heros Cave, west of Horon Village. From where you meet Impa, walk down one screen, left 3, down 1, and right one to enter the Heros Cave. Walk into the cave and walk to the room on the right. In this room, push the block in the center to make the doors open. Go up to the top room and push the blocks in that room to clear a path to get to the next room. Step on the switch on the right side of this room to reveal a chest with a key. Now go back the way you came in and push the block in the center of the second room again. Now go to the room on the bottom and enter. Go to the right and open the locked door with your key. Gnarled Key.jpg (32947 bytes)Now walk up and step on the switch to open the next door. Walk up to the room and down the path and you should see a treasure chest. Inside it will have the Wooden Sword. You will now appear outside of the Heros cave and can now use a sword. Now you must go see the Maku Tree in Horon Village. First go left one screen, up one, right four, down one, right 2 and you should see a gate. Swing your sword once, and the gate should break open. Now enter and see the Maku Tree. To talk to him, pop his bubble with your sword. The Maku Tree will talk to you and give you the Gnarled Key to open the Gnarled Root Dungeon. To get to the Gnarled Root Dungeon from the Maku Tree, go down 1, left 3, up 3, right 1, up 1, and left 1. Now walk over to the key hole on the upper right and the Temple should rise and you will be able to enter.

Gnarled Root Dungeon

Once you enter, walk up 1 screen to get to the main room. In this room, walk over to the block on the upper right and push it to open all of the doors. First, go into the room on the right. In this room, defeat all of the Stalfos and a key will appear in the center of the room. Pick up the key and head back left to the main room. Walk across the room to the door on the left and open it with your key. In this room you must defeat the Stalfos once again. Once done, a chest will appear containing the Dungeon Map. Now go up one room and you should see a mine cart. Hop in the mine cart and wait till you get off. From where you land, walk up the stairs on the right and go to the right 1 and go to the end of the room and you should see the treasure chest with the compass inside. Now walk back and hit the lever above the tracks with your sword. Now go back to the mine cart and ride it again. This time, it takes you a different way. When you get off the cart, walk back to the left one room and open the treasure chest to get some bombs. Now walk to the right one room, and go up the stairs, walk to the right and then walk down the second stairs. Walk to the right and up and press the switch to make a chest appear with a small key. Now go back down to the left and up the stairs. Walk to the left one room and you should see a crack in the wall. Use a bomb and blast it open. Enter the room and then walk very slowly along the path avoiding obstacles. Once you make it to the far door, you will enter a door with 2 moblins. Fight the Moblins while avoiding their boomerang attacks. Defeat them and a portal that goes to the room with the mine cart will appear. Now go to the room on the left. In this room, go over to the block on the far left and push it. This will allow you to go down to a tunnel. Enter the the tunnel and go down the ladder, walk up the ladder on the right and go to the left to find a Seed Bag, filled with 20 Ember Seeds.

Now backtrack to the room with the 2 moblins and the portal by going back the same way you came in. Once you're there, enter the portal. The portal will take you to the room where the mine cart track starts. Now, use your new Ember Seeds and put them into the torches on the left to make them light up. Once both are lit up, the door on the left will open. Enter the room and defeat the Moblins inside. Once done, a chest will appear containing the Boss Key. Now, walk back to the room with the mine cart. Walk down 1 room, and left 2 rooms now into the room where you got a small key. Go up to the two unlit torches next to the door. Light the torches with your Ember Seeds and enter the door. Now follow the path without getting caught by a floormaster, who will send you back to the beginning of the temple. At the end, you should see the Boss Door. Open it with your Boss Key and enter.

Aquamentus

Once you enter the Boss Room, you will be met by the winged dragon Aquamentus. To defeat it, strike it at its head with your sword. Keep hitting it with your sword while watching out for its charges. After some hits, it will eventually disappear and a heart container will appear in the center of the room. Pick up the container and walk to the door on the right. Enter the room and you will find one of the eight essences of nature, the Fertile Soil. You will then end up outside of the temple.
