Heart Pieces - Ocarina of Time

    In the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, there are 36 heart pieces distributed around Hyrule for you to find. Once you assemble 4 heart pieces together, you will form a heart container and have one more heart available in your Life Meter.

1. Lon Lon Ranch

As Young Link, go to Lon Lon Ranch and enter the storage shed, straight in the back of the Ranch. Go to the left and move the boxes around to find a small hole in the wall. Clear the block away from it and enter it to find a heart piece.

2. Hyrule Field

Go to edge of Hyrule Field near the entrance to Lake Hylia is. Inside the square of fences, bomb the ground in the center to reveal a grotto.

3. Death Mountain Trail

Go to the Death Mountain Trail near the Goron City entrance, where the Goron standing by the bomb flower is. Pick up the bomb flower and move it. Now do a backflip across the small fence to land on top of the entrance to the Dodongo's Cavern where a heart piece is. You can also plant a magic bean in the soft soil in front of Dodongos Cavern and when you're an adult, you can ride the flower up above the entrance.

4. Hyrule Field

Go to Hyrule Field and walk to the North East portion of the field. Bomb the lone tree in the field and enter the grotto. Dive down into the water to get the heart piece. You will need the Silver Scale or the Iron Boots to reach it.

5. Kakariko Village

As young Link, you can ride on the owls talons from the top of Death Mountain and reach the roof of Impas house in Kakariko Village. Hop down the side and land on the platform to go inside and get the heart piece. As Adult Link, you can hookshot up the roof of Impas house.

6. Kakariko Graveyard

Go to the Kakariko Graveyard as young Link around from nightfall to around midnight. Tell him to dig up a spot in the ground for 10 rupees. If you can't find it right away it might take a lot of rupees.

7. Kakariko Graveyard

After you race Dampe for the hookshot, go back there as Adult link again to race him. If you finish in under a minute, you get a heart piece.

8. Kakariko Village

As Adult Link, go to Kakariko Village and hookshot up to the guy sitting on the roof. Talk to him to get a piece of heart.

9. Kakariko Windmill

When you finish racing Dampe as Adult Link, play the Song of Time to get rid of the blue blocks. Inside the windmill, jump to the center platform and then wait to jump to the heart piece.

10. House of Skulltula

Once you have 50 Gold Skulltula Tokens, go to the House of Skulltula and talk to the child that has had the curse broken.

11. Kakariko Graveyard

As young Link, go to the Kakariko Graveyard and plant a magic bean in the soft soil near Dampes Grave. Come back as Adult Link and ride the flower to the wooden box above and roll into it.

12. Zora River

Go to the Zora River as young Link and talk to the frogs near the log in the middle of the river. Play the Song of Storms for them and they will reward you with a heart piece.

13. Zora River

Go to the Zora River and pick up the cucco near the beginning of the river. Take the cucco to where you the small rocks are near the river banks. Go to the right and fly across the river. Let go of the cucco and climb the ladder. There will be another cucco up there and a Fairys fountain. Pick up the cucco and walk across the wooden crossing to the other platform. From there, fly to the visible heart piece on another platform.

14. Kakariko Graveyard

Towards the back of the graveyard, pull a gravestone back and one will reveal a secret chamber. Drop down and play the Suns Song to reveal a chest.

15. Zora River

Go back to the frogs in the middle of the river and play there bug-eating game. Push the corresponding button that goes with a certain frog to make it jump and get the fly. If you don't mess up, they will give you another heart piece.

16. Zora River

Pick up the cucco at the beginning of the river again and take it all the way over to the entrance to Zoras Domain. Go to the left of the entrance and fly over the water to reach a Heart Piece on a nearby ledge. You can also use Adult Link and use your Hover Boots to hover across the air to the Heart Piece.

17. Hyrule Town Market

Go to the Hyrule Town Market as young Link and go inside the Treasure Chest Shop. Play the game and use your Lens of Truth to see which chest holds the key to get to the next door. If you make it to the final room, open the chest to get a heart piece.

18. Hyrule Town Market

As young Link, go to the Hyrule Town Market and talk to the lady inside her house in the alley. She will want you to recover her dog. Now leave and go to the market stand underneath the guy looking out of his window. There will be a white dog there. Have the dog follow you back to the ladys house.

19. Lost Woods

Go to the Lost Woods as young Link and walk to the right from the Kokiri Forest entrance. Hop down to where a tree is. Stand on the short tree stump and talk to the Skull Kids. Play along with them by remembering the notes and then playing them yourself. After you have played 3 different songs, they will give you a Heart Piece.

20. Hyrule Town Market

Go to the Hyrule Town Market and play Bombchu Bowling. Beat it several times untill the reward is a heart piece and then beat it once more to win the heart piece.

21. Lost Woods

As young Link, go to the Lost Woods and walk to the left from the Kokiri Forest entrance. Stand on the small stump and play Sarias song.

22. Zoras Domain

Go to Zoras Domain as young Link and go to King Zoras room. Use a Deku Stick to take the fire from a torch in there to the torch on the bottom of the stairs. Now use the Deku Stick from there and walk down to the Zora shop and light the torch there, then continue into the water where the torch is standing with rocks around it. Then go behind the waterfall to light the 2 torches there and to make a chest appear.

23. Zoras Fountain

Go to the Zora Fountain and reach the iceberg with the heart piece on top of it.

24. Zoras Fountain

Dive down to the bottom of Zoras Fountain as Adult Link with the Zora Tunic and the Iron Boots and there will be a heart piece at the very bottom of the lake.

25. Death Mountain Crater

As Young Link, plant some magic beans in the soft soil in the Death Mountain Crater and come back as an adult and ride the flower. Jump onto a high mountain with a heart piece on the top as you fly by.

26. Fishing Pond

Go to the Fishing Pond in Lake Hylia as Young Link and catch a 10 pound fish to recieve a heart piece.

27. Ice Cavern

Go to the Ice Cavern as Adult Link and go to the room with the Compass. Bottle up some blue fire and use it to melt some ice around a heart piece in the room.

28. Death Mountain Crater

Go to Death Mountain Crater from the Death Mountain Trail entrance and climb down the wall to find an opening in the wall with a heart piece.

29. Goron City

As Young Link, go to Goron City and light all of the torches on the lower level around the Goron vase. The vase will then start spinning. Go upstairs and throw bombs into the inside of the vase. Do this a few times to get the heart piece as a reward.

30. Lake Hylia

After you recieve the Golden Scale from the fisherman at the Fishing Pond, go to the laboratory in Lake Hylia and go inside and dive to the bottom of the well inside. Then talk to the man to recieve the heart piece.

31. Lake Hylia

After you have planted some magic beans in the soft soil outside the Laboratory as Young Link, go back as Adult Link and ride the flower to the roof of the Laboratory. Climb the ladder up to the top to find the heart piece.

32. Gerudo Valley

Go to Gerudo Valley and use the cucco before the bridge. Grab the cucco and jump off the bridge to the left towards the platform on the side of the cliff with a box. Roll into the box to get to the heart piece.

33. Gerudo Fortress

Go to the Gerudos Fortress as Adult Link and play the Archery game. Score over 1,000 points to earn a heart piece.

34. Gerudo Valley

Go to Gerudo Valley and use the cucco to fly to the right to the platform at the bottom. Walk to the right on the platform and jump into the water when you're behind the waterfall. Go up the ladder and up to the secret room to recover the heart piece.

35. Gerudo Fortress

From the roof of the Gerudo Fortress, use to Adult Link to summon his hookshot to use to latch onto the treasure chest in the distance. You can also play the scarecrows song to make the scarecrow appear and hookshot to him. Open the treasure chest to reveal the heart piece.

36. Desert Colossus

Once you have planted some magic beans just outside of the Spirit Temple in the soft soil, come back as an Adult and ride the flower. As your flying, jump to the stone arch with a heart piece atop it.
