Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Ocarina Songs

Ocarina of Time.jpg (17424 bytes)Along your journey through Hyrule, you will have to learn songs on your Ocarina, either with the Fairy Ocarina or Ocarina of Time. You will be able to use these songs to warp to different areas of Hyrule, and access key parts of the game. Listed below are all the songs notes, and where to learn them at.

1. Zelda's Lullaby

Zelda's Lullaby will be the first song you will learn, and you will have to make your way to Hyrule Castle to learn it. Once you make your way past the Courtyard of the castle, you will find Princess Zelda for the first time. After you talk to Princess Zelda, you will meet Impa, and she will teach you Zelda's Lullaby. Zelda's Lullaby will probably be the most important song in your quest, and will allow you to access key areas of the game. When theres a triforce labeled on the ground, such as in front of Zora's Domain or in a Great Fairy's Fountain, play Zelda's Lullaby.

2. Saria's Song

After you learn Zelda's Lullaby, you will need to return to the forest, before you go to Goron City. You will need to learn Saria's Song first, and you will find Saria deep in the forest, in the Sacred Forest Meadow, in front of the Forest Temple as Young Link. Once you've learned Saria's Song, you will be able to communicate with Saria all the time in your journey, as well as talk to Darunia.

3. Epona's Song

After you have met Malon at the entrance to Hyrule Castle, and met Princess Zelda, you will be able to visit Lon Lon Ranch and talk to Malon again. Bring out your Ocarina as you talk to her, and she will teach you Epona's Song. Epona's Song will come in handy a lot as Adult Link, since you can use the song to call Epona, your horse.

4. Sun's Song

The Sun's Song is one of the more interesting ocarina songs in the game. To learn it, you will need to go to the Kakaiko Graveyard, near the entrance to the Shadow Temple, as Young Link. The largest grave at the back of the graveyard has a trifoce symbol on the ground near it. Play Zelda's Lullaby to reveal a hole in the ground to gain passage to the underground crypt. Make your way through the passage, around the Re-Deads, and find the inscriptions on the wall. Once you see and read them, you will be taught the Sun's Song. You can use the Sun's Song to advance up to 12 hours through the day, from Sun up to Sun down, or vice versa.

5. Song of Time

The Song of Time is another very important Ocarina Song, in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask as well. After your first encounter with Ganondorf in front of the Hyrule Castle Town Gate, pick up the Ocarina of Time that Princess Zelda threw into the moat. Once you pick it up, you will envision Princess Zelda, and she will teach you the Song of Time, to use in front of the alter in the Temple of Time.

6. Song of Storms

After you are Adult Link, visit the Windmill in Kakariko Village to learn the Song of Storms. Talk to the Organ Grinder inside, and take out your Ocarina. He will recognize the Ocarina, from a young kid that once played the Song of Storms. He will teach you the song, and you will be able to play it to call upon a storm.

7. Minuet of Forest

The Minuet of Forest is the first song you will learn as an adult. Each song you learn as an adult can be used to warp to different places in Hyrule, especially near the temples. Once you have the Hookshot and make your way to the Sacred Forest Meadow, you will meet Shiek at the entrance to the Forest Temple, and he will teach you the Minuet of Forest. This can be used to return to the triforce symbol on the ground near the entrance to the temple.

9. Serenade of Water

You will learn the Serenade of Water and find a strong piece of equipment, the Iron Boots, all at one stop, deep in the Ice Cavern. In the deepest part of the cavern, you will find a White Wolfos. Defeat it to find a chest with the Iron Boots inside. Open the chest, then Shiek will appear and teach you the Serenade of Water, to warp to the middle of Lake Hylia, directly above the Water Temple.

Once you enter the Spirit Temple as an Adult for the first time, you will find that you won't be gained any further entrance. Once you leave the Temple, you will find Sheik outside and he will teach you the Requiem of Spirit, so that you may return to the Desert Collosus as a child, and not have to venture throught the desert.

You will find Kakariko Village on fire, and Sheik there trying to stop the evil from the well from escaping. Once you regain consciousness from trying to stop the evil yourself, you will find Sheik and he will teach you the Nocturne of Shadow, to send you to near the entrance of the Shadow Temple.
