Legend of Zelda: Spirit Temple Walkthrough

Submitted by hyperness13@hotmail.com

Hey it's Michelle, I haven't posted much on this site, until now!

Ok folks, here it is, for all of you who are stupid enough to not be able to beat the spirit temple without a walkthrough guide. The spirit temple is by far the easiest temple in the whole game, next to Ganon. And, it is quite fun too! ok, now I'll get to the walkthrough guide already!

Ok, first. If you want, you can beat the spirit temple before the shadow temple. I always do. It doesn't really matter.

After you beat Morpha, the boss in the water temple, you go to Kakariko village. There, you will see it is on fire. I don't want to explain what happens then you can see for yourself. Sheik will teach you the Nocturne Of Shadow, which allows you to warp to where the shadow temple is. You warp there. Walk down the stairs and you will see a bunch of unlit torches. Stand on the platform in the middle of the room and unleash Din's fire. (If you don't have Din's fire it would be a good idea to get it from the fairy near Zelda's castle when you are little) All the torches will be lit, and the door across from you will open. Go through the door (obviously) and you will be in the Shadow Temple.

Now you might think, this is a walkthrough for the spirit temple, why is she talking about the shadow temple, well duh! If you want to beat the spirit temple first, you need to get the hover boots from the shadow temple!!

Now walk straight and you will see a floor missing part of it. Longshot over to the black and white longshot mark and climb up. It looks like a dead end. But if you use the lens of truth you will see that it is a fake wall. Walk through it. You will be in a room with lot's more of those fake walls and a big bird sculpture in the middle, with lots of skulls on torches around it. Walk straight to where the floor ends, then make a left down to where theres another wall. Now turn left again and walk straight down until you get to the fake wall, that is actually fake. Use the lens of truth to make sure it's the right one, and walk through it. You will be in another room like the one you came from, and so use your lens of truth (you get the lens of truth from the bottom of the well when you're little) and walk around the room until you find an opening in the wall. Walk through it. There should be a door in front of you. Open it.

You will now be in a room with lot's of arms with hands sticking out of the ground. Try not to get choked by them but walk forward. A big whiteish reddish looking weird mummy type thing, that looks like the hands will pop out of the ground every once in a while. Keep Z-targeting it and slash at it's head with your sword. After a couple times of doing this, it should be dead, and a big chest will appear with the hover boots in it.

Now that you have the hover boots and Lens Of Truth, go to Gerudo Valley. (I hope you've done this already, i'm not in the mood to explain.) You should have already gotten the Gerudo's trust in a letter, and they will let you pass through the gate into the Haunted Wasteland. Cross the bridge in Gerudo Valley, and walk forward until you reach the Gerudo Fortress. Once in there, walk straight until you see the guardhouse. That would be where the gate to the Haunted wasteland is. Climb the ladder and talk to the girl on top. She will clap her hands and the gate will open. Climb down and go through the gate. Walk forward past the sign and keep going until sand blows around and it says across the screen "Haunted Wasteland". Press START and enter the select item subscreen. Scroll around until you find the page with your tunics and boots. Put on the hover boots. Once you're wearing the hover boots, simply walk across the river of snking sand, and you won't sink. Walk across until you reach two poles with red flags and maybe a box or two. Follow the poles until you see a little stone hut. If you get lost and wind up either at the Magic Carpet shop, or back where you started, simply follow the poles as much as you need to until you find the stone hut. Climb to the top of the hut and put on the lens of truth. (At this point it would be helpful to take off the hover boots) You will see a poe, your ghost-guide to the spirit temple. Talk to him or whatever you do for him to start flying, and then follow him. If you fall behind, he will wait for you at a box or where ever he needs to wait. Continue following him until you reach the Desert Colossus. Walk around until you see a big statue of a sand godess built into a big building. That is the spirit temple. Walk up the steps and into the temple. Now walk back out. (All this time you must be the big Link) Trust me on this one. When you walk back out, you will see Sheik. Sheik will talk to you and teach you the Requiem Of Spirit.

SPIRIT TEMPLE (young link)

Once you've learned the song, travel back to the temple of time and place the Master Sword in the pedestal. You will be little again. Once you are little, play the Requiem of Spirit and you will be back at the spirit temple. The spirit temple is different than all the other temples. You do half of it when you're little Link, and half when you're big Link. Go inside the spirit temple and walk up the stairs, avoiding flying pots. Take an immediate left and you will meet Nabooru. She will talk to you and ask you what you want. Answer her with nothing really. She will ask you a favor, to go inside the little hole she was looking through, and get her the

Silver Gauntlets. You say you will do it for her and immediatley crawl through the little hole. Once inside, go in and defeat all the enemies, except those silver and black spikey things on the floor. This will open the two doors , one on your right and one on your left. Enter the one on your left. In this room there will be a Stalfos. Defeat him and use your boomerang to hit the switch on the far side of the room. This will cause the metal fence to fall down and create a bridge for you. Walk across and open the chest. Now walk through the door on your right. You will be in a room with parts missing from the floor, and a locked door. Defeat all the enemies and the door will open. Go through the door. You will be in a room with a big metal fence, a red carpet, a torch, and lots of white rupees. Collect all of the rupees and a chest will fall down on the red carpet (hint, one of the rupees is behind the torch). Open the chest and you will get a key. Now reverse your steps and got into the room with the two silver and black spikey things on the floor. Crawl through the hole in the wall in between the two doors to the rooms you had just been in. Once you've crawled through, you will be in a room with a locked door. Use your key and open it. You will now be in a small passage with one pot, and a climbable wall. There are a few skulltulas on the wall. Destroy them, and climb up. You will be in a large room with a rock wall that had two skulltulas on it. Destroy them. When you go near the far side of the wall, a mini Lizalfos will hop down and try to fight you. Destroy him too. Now look at the rock wall. There is a spot where a chunk of rock is coming out of the wall, and there are cracks of light in it. Use a bombchu and aim it directly at the rock, and it will blow up, causing rays of light to shine on the sun sclupture on the floor. This will cause the barred door in front of you to open. Go through it. Now you will be in the main room of the spirit temple, with the big statue of a sand godess holding her two hands out. There is a strange statue next to you. Walk up to it and hold down A, pushing it forward off the ledge and onto a switch. The switch will open the locked door above you. Walk up the stairs and through the door. Now walk up these stairs. (Yes there are alot of stairs in this temple) Open the door at the top, and walk through. The door will lock behind you. You will be in another fairly large room with three black and silver spikey things on the floor. Sorry, I forgot what they were called. Take out a Deku stick and light it on the already lit torch. Run around the room and light all the unlit torches and a chest will fall down on one of the higher platforms. Destroy the enemy in your way of getting to the chest with a bomb, and open the chest to get a key. Go around until you see four grey blocks on the floor. Pull a few out of your way until you have a hold of the block with a sun sclupture on it. Drag the block into the sunlight and it will open the locked door you haven't been to yet, and the door you came from. Go to the door you haven't been through yet and open it. You will now be in another stairway, so go up it. At the top, open the door. You will be in a room with lot's of pillars, and an IronKnuckle. Go up to IronKnuckle, slash it with your sword and it will come alive and start walking towards you. Slash him with your sword as many times as you can, avoiding his big battle axe. Eventually he will be defeated, collect the hearts he left you, and walk through the now unlocked door behind the chair he was sitting on. Walk out, and you will be outside the spirit temple, on one of the sand godesses hands. There will be a big chest. Open it, and inside you will find the Silver Gauntlets. A little movie will start after this, but I won't get into any details. Watch the movie, and then save your game, and travel to the Temple of Time.

CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU'VE JUST COMPLETED THE FIRST HALF OF THE SPIRIT TEMPLE!! HA! THERE'S STILL ANOTHER HALF TO GO!!

SPIRIT TEMPLE (older Link)

Once in the temple of time, go and pull out the Master Sword from the pedestal. You will now be big Link. Play the Requiem of Spirit on your ocarina, and warp back to the Desert Colossus. Go into the entrance of the spirit temple. This time, walk up the stairs (again avoiding flying pots) and make an immediate right. While wearing the Silver Gauntlets (you will notice that you are wearing them when you are in the temple of time after you pull out the master sword) push the large block until it falls into the hole in the floor. Enter the room. Defeat the Beamos statue (which i just recently learned that's what it's called) and shoot the switch on the ceiling with either an arrow or the longshot. This will open the two barred doors. Enter the room on the left, and defeat the wolfos (unless it's stupid and falls onto the floor) Stand on the triforce mark on the floor and play Zelda's Lullaby to make a big chest appear on the platform on the far side of the room. Longshot to the chest and open it to get the COMPASS. Jump down and run across the sand and climb the brick wall. Exit the room. Now enter the door across the room on your left. Collect all five silver rupees (sorry i made a mistake in the last part and called them white). Where there is blue blocks with the same marking on them as there is on the door of time, play the song of time to make them dissapear, and collect whatever they leave behind. All while doing this, you must avoid the large boulders rolling back and forth across the room. Once you've collected all the rupees, the locked door on the far side of the room will open. Enter it. You will be in a room with a Like-Like (a big slimy blob that tries to eat you). Defeat the Like-Like with arrows, preferrably the fire arrow. Open the chest that appears and receive a key. Go back to the room with the Beamos statue (in other words reverse your steps) and enter the middle door using the key you just got. Defeat another Like-Like and avoid flying pots. Collect whatever the Like-Like and pots leave behind, and climb the brick wall. In this room, defeat the hand using the lens of truth and it's smaller selves that it splits into, so it doesn't bother you afterward. Push the mirror in the middle of the room so it's reflection hits each of the sun switches on the wall, until one of the switches opens the locked door. Go through this door. You will be in the main room of the temple, as you have already been when you were little, except you are on the other side of the room. Climb the stairs and walk to the edge of the platform. Put on your hover boots. Walk through the air over to the statues hand that has the triforce mark on it. Play Zelda's lullaby to make a chest appear on the other hand. Longshot over to the chest and open it. You will get a key. Drop down to the floor and walk to the little platform in front of the statue. Unleash Din's fire to light the two torches on either side of the platform and a chest will appear. Open it. Now walk to where you first entered the room. Longshot to the mark on the cieling, and then walk up the stairs and open the door using the key you received. Defeat the Beamos statue or ignore it, and continue up the stairs. Open the door. In this room, there are three floating sphyinx's, use either Din's fire or Fire Arrows to defeat them, then enter the door to the next room. In the next room, stand next to the locked door and longshot at the Armos Knight so that when it comes alive, it will step on the switch and open the door next to you. Enter the door. Now go up the stairs and you will be in a similar room with lots of pillars, and an IronKnuckle sitting on a chair. Slash at him and fight him the same way you fought the other one when you were little Link. Now open the unlocked door behind the chair IronKnuckle was sitting on, and walk out. You will be on the hand opposite the one that had the chest with the Silver Gauntlets. A chest will be here too, open it and receive the Mirror Shield. Now reverse your steps back to the room with the Armos Knights and the switch on the floor, but go to the farside of the room where there is again, a locked door. Equip your Mirror Shield and stand in the light on the floor, and reflect the light onto the sun switch on the wall. This will open the locked door. Enter it. Get the key from the chest and exit. Now enter the door to your right, or the door you came in before you longshotted the Armos Knight and beat IronKnuckle. Enter the door on your left using the key you got. In this room, defeat the Beamos statue and longshot to the top bar of the moving wall. Now simply climb onto the nest floor. Now defeat two more Beamos statues and run up the stairs to reach the next floor. Stand on the triforce mark and play Zelda's lullaby to open the locked door in front of you and enter it. There, defeat the torch slugs with your sword. Then walk to the fake door on the left of the chest that's on fire, and take out your fairy bow and shoot it. When it falls down quickly shoot the eye switch behind it before it goes back up. An ice block will appear above you. Longshot to the ceiling above it and jump to the next ice block and step on the switch to make the fire around the chest below you dissapear. Quickly open the chest and receive the BOSS KEY!! Now exit the room and take a left, go up the stairs and enter the room. Avoid the flying pots and stand by the barred doorway with a switch behind it and using the spinning sword attack, hit the switch. Go through the door it opens and defeat the Lizalfos and floating skulls. Bomb the wall to the left of the mirror in the middle of the room. Push the mirror until it reflects into the room you just bombed and hits the next mirror. Push the next mirror so it reflects light onto the big mirror panel in the room you originally came from. Get back to that room and drop down to the floor and stand in the light in the middle of the platform, avoiding flying pots. Use your mirror shield to reflect the light onto the sun switch, which will lower the platform you are standing on into the main room in front of the sand goddess statue. Face the statue's face and shine light on it for a while using your mirror shield. It will crack and fall away. Now longshot to the caged door you can now see where the face used to be. It will open as you stand in front of it, and then walk forward to the boss door. Using the boss key, open it and walk in.

MINI BOSS-BRAINWASHED NABOORU

Walk forward and you will see a different looking IronKnuckle. It is stronger than the ones you beat before, but you still slash it with your sword as many times as possible until it's defeated. Once defeated, it's armor will fall away and Nabooru will fall to the ground. She looks around and starts talking, but the two witches who kidnapped her seven years ago appear and cut her off. They start talking and throw something at Nabooru, who vanishes into thin air, as well as the two witches. Now walk forward to the door behind the chair and open it to get to the real boss.

SPIRIT TEMPLE BOSS-TWINROVA

To beat twinrova, who first appears as the two witches, you must reflect their powers back at their companion. (Example, if one throws fire at you, reflect it back at not her, but the witch who didn't throw anything at you that time. If she throws ice, reflect it back at the other witch) After a while of doing so, they will combind their power and become one witch. She carries two torches, one with fire on the end, one with ice. Pay attention to which torch she lifts to throw at you, and her power will be sucked into your shield. You must suck three blasts of the same of her power into your shield and then reflect it back at her (Example, if she throws two fire at you and then changes her mind and throws ice, dodge the ice but DONT let it be sucked into your shield, and wait until she throws fire again to collect it into your shield. the same goes for ice). Once she's hit, she will sink down onto one of the platforms. Jump over to her and slash her a couple times with your sword. After doing this routine a few times, she will be defeated. Collect the heart piece and step into the portal to the chamber of sages.

CHAMBER OF THE SAGES

don't worry you don''t have to beat anything here, Nabooru will just talk to you and give you the Spirit Medallion. Then she tells you she should've kept the promise she made back then, if only she knew you would have grown up to be such a handsome man.

Well, Link is pretty sexy...
